Laundry List Equity Index
Operationalizes the nine sub-parts of the "Laundry List." Departments score practice times, travel, gear, publicity, coaching access, and facilities to flag where one gender is consistently under-serviced.
34 C.F.R. § 106.41(c)(2)–(10)
Laundry-list equity index by sex
Mean across all teams · 0–100, higher = better treatment
Operational sub-parts — equivalence parity
Female mean ÷ Male mean (1.0 = parity)
Monthly equity index — heat map
Selected year · darker red = under-served, dark green = well-supported
Each cell shows the team's monthly Laundry-List Equity Index. Cells in red mark months where the team's index dropped below 80; investigate gear delays, prime-practice access, and publicity hours for that period.
Disparate-treatment risk — paired comparison
Selected year · ranked by absolute Male – Female index gap within sport pair
The nine sub-parts
Equipment & supplies · Scheduling of games & practice times · Travel & per-diem · Coaching access & coach compensation · Tutoring · Locker rooms & competitive facilities · Medical services · Housing & dining · Publicity. Equivalence — not identical-treatment — is the legal standard, but a persistent imbalance across sub-parts is treated as a single disparate-treatment claim.
